“The pod was perfect for my silent retreat. It has everything you need for a few nights stay. It is inspirationally designed and Louise and Josh are great hosts. I loved it so much I am considering buying one myself and certainly I’d be back to visit Louise and Josh! “

“We had an absolutely fantastic time in the Armadilla! A very cleverly designed annex with so much charm. The mood lighting, underfloor heating were fantastic luxury facilities we really appreciated! Louise was a brilliant, welcoming host explaining everything clearly and giving some great food recommendations. She has really thought through additional touches to enhance the stay. Definitely recommend a stay here!”

Held in the heart of this historic cathedral city, we have over 80 producers attending this twice monthly market selling meat, game, goat meat, veal and buffalo meat, cheese, milk, cream, ice cream, honey, breads, cakes, fresh and smoked fish, a large variety of fruits and vegetables and apple juice.

Winchester Cathedral

Fifteen centuries of English history lie behind the massive Cathedral you see today. It stands at the heart of historic Winchester, once the seat of Anglo-Saxon and Norman royal power, on the site of an early Christian church. It’s been a place of worship ever since.
